Let There be Light
Suzanne (my mother-in-law) has experienced a lot of grief in her life, including the loss of her parents, two husbands, several siblings, a granddaughter, and many friends. She is a rock for her family, is selfless, and gives back to the community. Her faith and especially her church (St. Mary’s Anglican) are very important components in her life.
Thus, the idea of having her stand beside one of the stained-glass windows in her church, with the rays of the warm afternoon sun, playfully tinted by the glass, splashing across her face. The colours symbolize her acceptance of all things and all peoples. She is contemplative and content.
